Shanice Jandice Moffett, affectionately known as "Niecy," passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026, at the age of 48, following a sudden stroke. Born on February 5, 1977, in Portland, Oregon, Shanice spent her life radiating warmth, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved. A fiercely proud and loving mother to her three children, Marques, Jaquel, and Sammy, Shanice found her greatest joy in nurturing and raising them. Her love and strength were the foundation upon which her family flourished. Her children, along with her six grandchildren, will carry forward her legacy of love and unity. To her extended family, Shanice was the ultimate inspiration. She had a rare gift for keeping everyone connected, serving as the glue that held the family together through all of life's chapters. Her home was a haven filled with laughter and open-hearted warmth, and her presence inspired everyone around her to love more deeply and stay close. Shanice is survived by her children, her father Clifford Moffett Sr., her siblings Pamela, Clifford, and Selwyn, and a large, deeply bonded family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Shannon Moffett. Shanice was known for her delightful charm that could brighten any day and command the room's attention. Her infectious spirit and boundless love for her family were evident in every moment she spent with them. Whether she was working or enjoying time with her family, Shanice's presence was a beacon of joy and unity. A celebration of Shanice’s life and legacy will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home on October 2, 2026, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., with a memorial dinner following at 5:30 p.m. at the same location. The family invites all who knew and loved Shanice to join them in remembering and honoring her remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to Shanice's generous spirit and loving heart. The family expresses their deepest gratitude for the support and cherished memories of Shanice, who will be dearly missed.
