Shane passed away peacefully of natural causes on June 10, 2026, at the age of 51. Born on July 7, 1974, in Lewistown, Montana, Shane's life was a testament to love, dedication, and kindness. Shane was the cherished son of Jerry Wells and the late Deborah Van Berkom. He was the devoted husband to Lenora Wells, with whom he shared a life filled with love and adventure. He was the proud father to Hunter and Phoenix. Shane's life was enriched by his two grandchildren, Brianna and Esme, who brought endless smiles and laughter to his days. Shane's father Jerry, along with his loving wife Dolly, remained a steadfast presence in his life. His brothers Terry, Gregg, Jeff, and Andrew, as well as his sister Julie, were his lifelong companions, sharing countless memories from their childhood. Shane was predeceased by his mother, Deborah, and his brother, David Newell. Their memories remained close to his heart, and he often spoke of them with fondness and reverence. Throughout his life, Shane was known for his warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He was a man of integrity, whose kindness and compassion touched the lives of everyone he encountered. Shane had a remarkable way of making those around him feel valued and heard, and his generosity knew no bounds. He left an indelible mark on his community and was beloved by friends and family alike. Shane's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support and comfort during this difficult time. In accordance with Shane's wishes, a private ceremony will be held for family and close friends to celebrate his life and bid him farewell.
