Shane Robert Lane, Uncle Buck

In loving memory, we celebrate the life of Shane Robert Lane, who departed this world on September 6, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family in his final moments. Shane was born on February 28, 1976, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and was the beloved son of James Robert and Jo Ann Lane. Shane's journey through life was marked by a deep devotion to his family and a remarkable ability to touch the lives of those around him with kindness and humor. He was a father to his three sons, Josh, Cody, and Cameron (CJ) Lane, who were the light of his life and his proudest accomplishments. Shane's legacy lives on through his five grandchildren. Shane was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Lane; his sister, Kelly Jo Lane Watters; and his great-grandparents, Otis and Laverne Holiday. Their memories were always close to his heart, and he cherished the moments he shared with them. Left to honor Shane's memory are his loving mother, Jo Ann Lane, whose unwavering support was a cornerstone of his life, and his proud sister, Jamie Kay Lane, whose bond with Shane was unbreakable. He is also survived by four nephews and two nieces, who will forever remember the laughter and joy he brought into their lives. Shane's life will be celebrated on September 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home, located at 1600 Highway 31 SW, Hartselle, Alabama 35640. Family, friends, and all whose lives Shane touched are invited to join in honoring his memory and the remarkable journey he shared with us all.
