With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Shahida Odeh, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, who left this world on September 29, 2026. Born in Clifton, New Jersey, on December 8, 1973, Shahida was a beacon of light and strength to all who knew her. Shahida was the cherished daughter of Subeh and Lozah Baker. Although she was predeceased by her father, Subeh, she carried forward his legacy through her warmth and kindness. Shahida was a devoted wife to Awwad Odeh, with whom she shared a life of love, laughter, and companionship. Together, they built a beautiful family, blessed with three children: Malak Odeh, Ayoub Odeh, and Mohammad Odeh. Shahida's love for her children was boundless, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and guiding them with wisdom and grace. In addition to her immediate family, Shahida is survived by her loving sisters, Arifa and Rihab Baker. Their bond was unbreakable, founded on shared memories and mutual support. Shahida was not only a sister but also a confidante and a source of inspiration. Shahida's life was a testament to compassion and commitment. She had an unwavering dedication to her community, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her warmth and generosity touched many lives, creating a ripple effect of kindness wherever she went. A celebration of Shahida's life will be held on October 1, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Michigan Memorial, located at 17 Michigan Ave, Paterson, NJ 07503. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring a life so beautifully lived and a spirit that will forever be remembered.
