Sempad "Sam" Odabashian, cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, peacefully passed away at his home on August 15, 2026, after courageously battling cancer for many long years. Born on May 24, 1965, to Sahag and Emasd Odabashian, Sam was a beacon of strength and joy whose life was defined by love, resilience, and an indomitable spirit.
Sam was the beloved husband of Julie, with whom he shared 35 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they created a loving family, raising three wonderful children: Nicholas, Britney, and Ryan. Sam's family was his pride and joy, and he was a devoted father who cherished every moment spent with his children, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams and passions.
A proud sibling to Nora Sanchez-Prado, Sam's warmth and humor were constants in the lives of those who knew him. His infectious laugh and ability to make friends wherever he went are fond memories that will continue to bring smiles to the faces of those who loved him.
In his professional life, Sam was an exceptional salesman with Sherwin Williams for over eighteen years. His dedication and hard work also led him to successfully operate two businesses in the automotive and sandblasting industries. His colleagues and clients remember him not only for his business acumen but also for his genuine kindness and integrity.
Sam had a zest for life that was evident in his love for fishing, golfing, cars, and spending time at the beach. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, and his passion for these activities was only matched by his love for spending time with family and friends. Those who had the privilege of experiencing his warmth and generosity will forever remember the countless lives he touched through his journey.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Sam's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Sam's generous spirit and enduring legacy.
