It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Semaj Wallace Tharpe, a beloved sister, daughter, and friend, who departed this world on May 5th, 2026, just shy of her 51st birthday. Semaj was born on May 20th, 1975, in the charming town of Murray, Kentucky, where she began a life that would touch the hearts of many. Semaj was a devoted daughter to Bobby Lee Tharpe and Norma Jean Tharpe, who cherished her deeply. Her vibrant spirit and kindness were a reflection of the love and values instilled in her by her parents. Known affectionately as a jokester, Semaj possessed an incredible ability to bring laughter and joy to those around her. Her smile was contagious, lighting up every room she entered and leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was a cherished sister to Amy and Amber, as well as to her brothers, James and Randall. Semaj's bond with her siblings was a testament to the love and unity that defined their family. Her presence will be profoundly missed by her countless nieces and nephews, who adored their Aunt Semaj, along with her loving aunts, uncles, and grandparents, all of whom played a significant role in her life. Semaj had a passion for cooking and found joy in preparing meals for her entire family. Her love for the culinary arts was not just about the food, but about the warmth and togetherness that came with sharing a meal. Her kitchen was a place where memories were created, laughter was shared, and love was abundant. An avid fishing enthusiast, Semaj found peace and happiness by the water. With a fishing pole in hand, she cherished the quiet moments spent in nature, reflecting on life's simple pleasures. These moments provided her with solace and a deep connection to the world around her. Though Semaj had no children of her own, her nurturing spirit extended to all who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel like family, offering her unwavering support and love. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and her legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those she touched. On Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, Semaj left this world surrounded by her family, wrapped in their love as she peacefully transitioned to the arms of her Lord and Savior. Her departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we say goodbye to Semaj, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Her legacy is one of joy, compassion, and a reminder of the power of a simple smile. Though she is no longer with us in body, Semaj's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be forever missed. Pallbearers: Jp Twix, Wendawl Right, Justin Tharpe, Jakel Tharpe, James Teague, Henry Rutherford
