It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Selwyn, who departed this life peacefully on March 3, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on September 19, 1952, in the vibrant city of San Fernando, Trinidad, Selwyn's life was a testament to love, resilience, and community. Selwyn was a dedicated and loving husband to his cherished wife, Brenda, whose unwavering partnership spanned many years. Their union was a source of joy and strength, and together they built a family filled with warmth and laughter. Selwyn leaves behind a legacy through his beloved children: Deborah, Jerod, Sherry-Ann, Abigail, and Cathy-Ann. As a father, he was nurturing and supportive, always encouraging his children to pursue their dreams and live with integrity. His guidance and love will forever be cherished by them. Blessed with a large and loving family, Selwyn was a proud grandfather to Akhim, Akel, Denika, Denikel, Danielle, and Aaron. He took great delight in spending time with his grandchildren, imparting wisdom and sharing stories that will be remembered for generations. He also celebrated the joys of being a great-grandfather to four wonderful great-grandchildren, who brought an additional sparkle to his eyes. Selwyn is also survived by his dear brothers, Carl and Kenrick, with whom he shared countless memories and a bond that could not be broken by distance or time. Selwyn's life will be celebrated with a service on March 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM at St Mary Church, located in St Mary’s Village, Barrackpore, Princess Town. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to join in honoring his memory and the beautiful life he lived. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Selwyn's generous spirit and his commitment to helping others. Though Selwyn's physical presence will be dearly missed, his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him. His kindness, compassion, and steadfast love will forever be etched in our hearts.
