April 10, 1989 — September 13, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of SEFO Aso Sipili, who departed this life on September 13, 2026, at the age of 37. Born on April 10, 1989, in the serene surroundings of Pago Pago, American Samoa, Sefo lived a life full of laughter, love, and resilience that touched everyone he encountered. Sefo was the cherished son of the late Aso and Verona Sipili, who instilled in him the values of love, determination, and humor. He was a devoted husband to Fondella Aso, with whom he shared a beautiful and fulfilling marriage since 2010. Together, they raised four wonderful children: AnnaMarie, Toe Tu, Ryan, and Princess Aso. Sefo's children were his pride and joy, and he was a pillar of strength and guidance for them. Sefo's journey through life was marked by his dedication to his family, his community, and his passions. He received his education at Lupelele Elementary School, Tafuna High School, and the American Samoa Community College, where he built a foundation for his professional endeavors. Sefo was a valued employee at US Magnesium LLC and a talented digital creator, showcasing his creativity and commitment in all his work. He was deeply involved in the Christian Congregation of American Samoa Iliili, where he found a spiritual home and a sense of community. A proud member of the Tafuna Warriors, Samoans Car Club, and the Cancer Society, Sefo's spirit was one of camaraderie and support for causes that were dear to him. A natural entertainer, Sefo was known as the family comedian, always bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. He loved football and singing, passions that were reflective of his vibrant and dynamic spirit. Sefo is survived by his beloved wife, Fondella, and their children, along with his siblings: Robert, Jaremiah, Hector, Donald, O'Connell, Eugene, Richard, David, Atuka, and Verona Sipili. Though he leaves behind no grandchildren, his legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the love he shared. The celebration of Sefo's life will take place on September 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Fitafita ole Talalelei Christian Church, located at 432 Palekaiko Street, HI. In honor of Sefo's generous spirit, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a fitting tribute to a man who gave so much to others. As we say goodbye to a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend, we hold onto the special message from his family: "You have fought a good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7. Sefo's spirit will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of light and joy that will never fade.
