Sean Michael Riberdy
July 31, 1968 — April 1, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sean Michael Riberdy, who departed this world unexpectedly at his home on April 1, 2026. Born on July 31, 1968, in the close-knit community of Franklin, New Hampshire, Sean's life was a testament to the boundless love, laughter, and joy he shared with all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Sean was the cherished son of Bonnie (Riggins) Riberdy and Richard Riberdy, who provided him with a foundation of love and values that he carried throughout his life. He was a proud graduate of Franklin Jr/Sr High, Class of 1986, where he formed friendships that would last a lifetime.
Sean's life was marked by his deep connections with family and friends, many of whom were undoubtedly waiting to receive him with open arms, including his first grandson, Jacob Logan, and his beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles, and best friends John Bastis and Kevin Waltos. The reunion in heaven, while bittersweet for those left behind, is surely a joyous celebration for those who have gone before him.
He is survived by his loving children, Michelle Riberdy and Eric Riberdy, both of North Carolina, who were his pride and joy. Sean's legacy continues through them and his adored grandson, Jeremiah Logan. His brothers, Patrick (Ryann) Riberdy and Christopher (Nicole) Riberdy, along with his sister, Jennifer (Craig) Bozek, shared a bond with Sean that was as strong as it was unbreakable. Sean's best friend, John George of New Hampshire, along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends, will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
An active member of the Den Brae Golf Course community, Sean's presence will be deeply missed by his golfing companions and the many friends he made there. Whether on the golf course, snowmobiling, riding ATVs, or four-wheeling trucks, Sean never met a stranger. His infectious smile and quick wit were always ready to brighten the day of anyone he encountered.
Sean's love for life was only matched by his love for laughter. He had a gift for finding humor in the everyday and was never without a joke to share or a smile to offer. His warmth and kindness were a beacon to all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be touched by his generosity and joy.
A celebration of Sean's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to remember the laughter, adventures, and love that Sean so freely gave to the world. His spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him, as we carry forward his legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering friendship.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice in Sean's memory, as a way to honor his generous spirit and enduring love for helping others.
Sean Michael Riberdy, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory will forever be a cherished source of comfort and inspiration for all who loved him.
