Scott Mike Murphy

Scott Mike Murphy, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 56. Scott was born on January 25, 1970, in the vibrant city of Denver, Colorado, to Bill and Linda Murphy. He was a man of extraordinary warmth and kindness, whose laughter and love of life touched everyone he met. Scott's journey through life was marked by service, dedication, and joy. After graduating from Rawlins High School, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1992 to 2010. His commitment to service and leadership was evident throughout his military career, a testament to his unwavering dedication and strength. In 1993, Scott married the love of his life, Judy Mead. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, raising two wonderful children, John and Sarah. Scott was a devoted father and took immense pride in his children's accomplishments, always encouraging them with his humor and wisdom. Following his military service, Scott embarked on a successful career with T-Mobile, where he worked for 20 years as a trainer. He was respected and admired by his colleagues for his professionalism, kindness, and the infectious joy he brought into the workplace. Scott had a passion for sports and fishing, often spending weekends cheering on his favorite teams or casting a line into serene waters, always eager for the next adventure. He had an incredible ability to make those around him smile, often sharing jokes and stories that brightened even the gloomiest of days. Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Murphy, and his sister, Christina Martinez. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Murphy; his cherished children, John Murphy and Sarah Murphy; and three precious grandchildren who brought him endless joy. Scott also leaves behind his father, Bill Murphy, and his siblings: Billy Murphy, Angie Homewood, Christopher Murphy, Kim Murphy, and Steve Murphy. A celebration of Scott's life will be held on September 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Washington Park in Colorado Springs. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the remarkable life of a man who brought light and laughter to all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Scott's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and love for helping others. Scott Mike Murphy lived a life full of love, laughter, and service. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of joy and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
