Scott Lewis Dysard, a vibrant and cherished soul, passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 58, in West Columbia, South Carolina. Born on October 24, 1967, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Scott's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and dedication that touched the lives of many. Scott was the beloved son of Susan and the late James Dysard. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kim Dysard, who was his partner in both life and countless creative endeavors. Their love story was one of shared dreams and mutual support, evidenced by the numerous projects they lovingly crafted together. Scott leaves behind his children, Brandon Dysard and Morgan Sanders, who were the lights of his life and his greatest pride. Though he had no grandchildren, his legacy of warmth and joy will surely be carried forward by his children. A proud graduate of Auburndale Senior High School, Class of 1986, Scott's journey through life was marked by hard work and commitment. For 17 years, he dedicated himself to managing lumber yards, first in Lakeland, Florida, for five years, before bringing his expertise to South Carolina. His colleagues and customers remember him as a professional who was always full of life and positivity. Scott was a respected and active member of the Cola Church community in West Columbia. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he found joy in serving and connecting with his fellow congregants. His loud and enthusiastic personality made him a natural at bringing people together, whether around a bonfire on a cool night or at family gatherings, where his presence was a source of endless joy. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Linda Hatcher, Lori Haines, Sara Lainey, and James Dysard Jr., who shared in his journey and supported one another through the highs and lows of life. Scott's family and friends cherished his ability to light up a room with his presence and his unwavering kindness. A celebration of Scott's life will be held on August 29, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Cola Church, located at 1049 Harbor Drive, West Columbia, SC 29169. The family warmly invites all who knew Scott to join them for a memorial service, followed by food and fellowship at the Dysard Residence, 1422 Cedar Ter, Columbia, SC 29209. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Scott’s memory to a charity of your choice, honoring his generous spirit and love for his community. Scott will forever be remembered for his boundless enthusiasm, his love for family, and his ability to find joy in life's simplest moments. May his spirit continue to inspire all who knew him.
