In Loving Memory

Scott Francis Flinn
December 20, 1984 — July 11, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Scott Francis Flinn, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who left this world on July 11, 2026. Scott was born on December 20, 1984, in the town of O, where he began a life defined by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering spirit of giving.
Scott was the cherished son of Scott Flinn and the late Teresa Flinn, who preceded him in death alongside his dear sister, Melissa Bailey, and grandparents, Rose and Gwinn Bryant. Though his family circle has experienced profound loss, those who remain will forever hold Scott close in their hearts, remembering his warmth and compassion.
Scott spent his formative years in Lake Weir High School, where he cultivated friendships and a love for learning that would stay with him throughout his life. He found his calling as a handyman in construction, a career that allowed him to use his practical skills and innate desire to help others. Whether fixing a neighbor's leaky roof or building a space for memories to be made, Scott approached each task with dedication and care.
For 17 wonderful years, Scott shared his life with his devoted girlfriend, whose companionship brought him immense joy and comfort. Together, they enjoyed traveling to new places, where Scott's natural curiosity and zest for life always shone brightly. His passion for fishing and video games provided countless hours of relaxation and enjoyment, reflecting his love for both the great outdoors and the quiet moments at home.
Scott had a heart of gold, a quality recognized by all who crossed his path. He was known for never meeting a stranger, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His caring nature and inability to say no to someone in need made him a treasured friend and neighbor. Scott's legacy is one of selflessness, as he consistently put others before himself, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, honoring Scott's spirit of giving and his lifelong commitment to helping others.
As we say goodbye to Scott, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul forever cherished. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
