Born on December 20, 1984, in the heart of Ocala, Florida, Scott's life was a testament to kindness, adventure, and the immeasurable strength of human connection. Scott was the beloved son of Scott Flinn and the late Teresa Flinn. He was a loving brother to Josh Flinn and a devoted partner to Pamela Hamlin, his cherished companion of 17 years. Those who knew Scott and Pamela knew them as a pair bonded by love and respect; they were, in the words of many, "basically married." Scott's childhood in Ocala was filled with the warmth of family and the joy of youthful adventures. He graduated from Lake Weir High School in Florida, where he began to shape the character that would endear him to so many. After moving to West Virginia, Scott worked with the Salvation Army, where he touched many lives with his selflessness before embarking on a career in construction. In Scott's world, no stranger was left unwelcomed. His heart of gold and unique charm drew people to him, and he found joy in building friendships and leaving lasting impressions on everyone he met. Whether he was casting a line on a quiet fishing trip, cheering on his favorite football team, or collecting treasures from his travels, Scott embraced life with enthusiasm and a spirit of generosity. He found joy in the simple pleasures: hanging out with friends, spending quality time with family, and immersing himself in the thrill of UFC fights. His playful nature was evident in his love for gaming, where he could often be found enjoying his PlayStation. Scott's family was the cornerstone of his life. He was a cherished grandson to Lois Sutphin, a dear nephew, and a treasured cousin to Pamela LeMaster, Kimberly Bryant, Destiny Sparks, and Brandon Tabor. He was a proud uncle to his nephew, Nathan Flinn, and nieces, Breanna Winfree and Hannah Bailey. He joins in eternal rest his mother, Teresa Flinn, sister, Melissa Bailey, grandfathers, Forrest Flinn and Gwinn Bryant, grandmother Rose Bryant, and uncle, Gwinn Dale Bryant II. A celebration of Scott's life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor the beautiful legacy he leaves behind. His family kindly requests that any donations made in his memory be directed to a charity of one's choosing, in keeping with Scott's spirit of generosity.
