In Loving Memory

Scott Edward Craven
December 11, 1970 — July 6, 2026
Scott Edward Craven, a devoted husband, father, and cherished friend, peacefully passed away at his home on July 6, 2026, after a courageous battle. Born on December 11, 1970, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Scott's life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication.
Scott was the beloved son of Paul and Robbie Craven and Janie and David Moser. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Pete and Lois Craven, whose memories he held close to his heart. His legacy is lovingly carried forward by his adored wife, Holly Abel, and his treasured daughter, Katelyn Craven. Scott was also a proud grandfather to one grandchild, a role he cherished deeply.
A graduate of East Central in Mississippi, Scott was a self-employed mechanic, whose skilled hands and keen mind earned him respect and admiration in his community. His passion for his work was matched only by his love for his hobbies. Scott found great joy and freedom riding his motorcycle and casting a line into tranquil waters, fishing being a pastime that allowed him to connect with nature and find peace.
Above all, Scott was known for his gentle spirit and the love he extended to his family, friends, and animals. His home was always open, and his heart was always kind, traits that endeared him to everyone he met.
In honor of Scott's memory, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization close to his heart. Scott's generosity and compassion will be remembered by all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
Scott Edward Craven will be greatly missed but never forgotten, as his spirit remains alive in the hearts of his loved ones. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and warmth he so freely gave in life.
