He was surrounded by love, enveloped in the warmth of those he held dear, a fitting tribute to a life so willingly shared with others. Born on January 21, 1966, in Wapakoneta, Ohio, Scott was a beacon of joy and vitality. He was the beloved son of David Bernard Stiles, who has preceded him in death, and Barbara Jean Stiles, who survives him. Scott's life was a testament to the enduring strength of family bonds and the unyielding spirit of love. Scott's formative years were spent in Wapakoneta, where he graduated from Wapakoneta High School in 1984 as an elite athlete. His talent on the field led him to Hutchinson, Kansas, where he attended Hutch Juco and quickly became a celebrated hometown hero. His passion for sports saw him leading the Blue Dragons as quarterback before transferring to Bethel College, where he completed his degree. On January 1, 2017, Scott married the love of his life, Shannon (Shannie) Stiles, in Wichita, Kansas. Together, they built a life rich in love and shared experiences. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Breckynn, Jocelyn, Kyler, and Sutton Stiles. Scott is also survived by his brother, Daren (Brenda) Stiles, who stood by him through all of life's joys and challenges. Scott's career was a remarkable tapestry woven from his love for sports and his innate ability to connect with others. Known for his distinctive voice, Scott was a celebrated PA announcer and broadcaster, his passion echoing through arenas and into the hearts of fans. His career path led him to Schaefer Architecture, where he served as Director of Business Development, fostering partnerships and paving the way for a brighter future in Wichita. His contributions to the community were manifold. Scott served diligently on the Airport Advisory Board, was an active member of the Wichita Independent Business Association (WIBA), and presided over the Belagio HOA. His commitment to Wichita was unwavering, and his impact will be felt for generations to come. Scott's interests were as varied as his talents. He could often be found on the golf course, cheering for the Cleveland Browns, the Michigan Wolverines, and indulging in the thrill of NASCAR. His loyalty to Kansas teams, especially Hutchinson Community College, Bethel College, and Sunrise Christian Academy, was a testament to his love for the community that embraced him as one of their own. A celebration of Scott's life will take place on June 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the North Auditorium of NewSpring Church, located at 12200 E 21st St. N., Wichita, KS 67206.
