Scott passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, at the age of 65, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family. Born on May 3, 1961, to John and Verdelle Brattebo, Scott was a beacon of kindness, wisdom, and resilience to all who knew him. Scott grew up in a nurturing household alongside his siblings, Linda, Mark, Brian, Joni, Jan, and Julie, each of whom he shared a special bond with, filled with laughter and support. Anchored by the values imparted by his late parents, John and Verdelle, Scott carried forward a legacy of integrity and compassion that would define his life. He was the loving husband of Marie Brattebo, his partner and confidant, with whom he shared countless adventures and moments of quiet joy. Together, they built a family grounded in love and respect, raising their children with the same devotion and care that Scott had experienced as a child. His children, Carson Brattebo and his fiancée, Dae McRath, were his pride and joy. Scott’s love for his family was immeasurable, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Scott's life was marked by a profound sense of community and friendship. His extended family and numerous friends were touched by his generosity and warmth, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support were constants in the lives of those he held dear. Though his son, Spencer Brattebo, predeceased him, Scott carried Spencer's memory with grace and strength, honoring his son’s life through acts of kindness and love that exemplified the enduring bond between father and son. A celebration of Scott’s life will take place on June 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Hart Residence, located at N5552 Beich Rd, Portage, WI 53901. In this place, surrounded by nature’s beauty and the comfort of home, family and friends will gather to honor a life well-lived and share memories that keep Scott’s spirit alive in their hearts. Scott’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we also celebrate the enduring impact he made on the world around him. His light will continue to shine in the stories we share and the values he instilled in those who knew him.
