In Loving Memory of Saxon Zona
Saxon Zona, a beloved son, grandson, and friend, tragically left this world too soon on April 16, 2026, at the tender age of 18. Born on October 26, 2007, in Massachusetts, Saxon's life was a vibrant tapestry of passion, dedication, and warmth. His sudden departure has left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Saxon's journey was one deeply rooted in love and adventure. From an early age, Saxon had a special affinity for the ocean, finding solace and joy in surfing. It was more than a hobby; it was his life. The waves were his playground, and the ocean his sanctuary. His passion for surfing was contagious, and he often shared this love with friends and family, bringing them to the beach to experience the same exhilaration he felt.
Though he never had the opportunity to graduate from Northbridge High School, Saxon's educational journey was marked by curiosity and enthusiasm. His teachers remember him as a bright student with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a kindness that resonated throughout the halls.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Saxon served in the National Guard, where he was recognized multiple times for his excellence and integrity. His commitment to service and his country was unwavering, earning him respect and admiration from his peers and superiors alike.
Saxon was known as the "glue guy"—the person who unknowingly held everything together. His presence was felt in his family, among friends, and within his community. With his infectious smile and warm heart, Saxon had a unique ability to make everyone around him feel valued and cherished. His friends often said that Saxon was the person you didn't know you needed until he was there, offering a listening ear or a helping hand.
Tragically, Saxon's life was cut short while doing what he loved most. While surfing in Hawaii, he was taken by a great white shark. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit lives on in the memories and stories shared by those who loved him.
Saxon is survived by his devoted mother, Cheryl, his loving grandparents, and a wide circle of family and friends who will forever treasure his memory. He was predeceased by his great-grandparents, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
In this time of immense sorrow, Saxon's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who have offered love and support. A special message from the family, simply "67," holds a personal significance that resonates with those closest to Saxon.
A celebration of Saxon's life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor the incredible young man he was, sharing stories and remembering the joy he brought into their lives.
Saxon Zona's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the indomitable spirit of a true adventurer. Though his time with us was brief, the impact he made will last a lifetime. May he rest in peace, forever riding the waves of eternity.
