In Loving Memory

Sargesse Simon
August 29, 1940 — July 27, 2026
Sargesse Simon, a cherished soul and a beacon of wisdom, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, at the remarkable age of 86. Born on August 29, 1940, in the Bahamas, Sargesse was a man whose life was a testament to resilience, dedication, and love.
Sargesse was the beloved son of the late John Simon and Vanessa Augustine. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Marie Simon, and his dear sons, John Jr. and Harrison Simon. Despite these profound losses, Sargesse's spirit remained unbroken, and his life continued to shine brightly through his surviving family: his devoted daughter, Adele Simon, his nine grandchildren, including Roselande, Jessica, David, Chucky, Jackie, Tony, Rony, Hipkiss, and Patrick Simon, and an impressive legacy of 54 great-grandchildren. Sargesse's family was his pride and joy, and he treasured the many moments spent in their company.
Throughout his life, Sargesse was known as a well-educated individual who dedicated his career to working as a contractor. His work ethic and intelligence left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Sargesse was also an active and devoted member of the Church of God of Latter Day Saints, where he worshipped and served faithfully, contributing to his community with an open heart.
Sargesse had a deep love for simple pleasures. He found joy in fishing, cooking, and especially in spending precious time with his great-grandchildren, whose laughter and energy brought immense joy to his days. His circle of friends, including close companions Sabine, Nicklaus, and the Smith family, were constants in his life, offering companionship and shared memories.
A service to celebrate Sargesse's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of God of Latter Day Saints on Commercial Boulevard. It will be a time for family and friends to gather, to remember, and to honor a life well-lived.
