Sarah Wilson

August 7, 1935 — March 26, 2026

It is with heavy hearts but profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Sarah Wilson, who departed this world on March 26, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on August 7, 1935, to Dewey and Elizabeth O'Kelley, Sarah graced this world with her presence and left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Sarah grew up in a loving household, surrounded by her siblings Horris, Clyde, Johnny, Faye, and Joyce. Her childhood was filled with laughter, warmth, and the enduring bonds of family. She carried these values throughout her life, fostering a home and a heart that welcomed everyone with open arms. In 1958, Sarah answered the call of duty and joined the army, serving her country with honor until 1961. Her time in the military instilled in her a sense of discipline and resilience that she carried into every endeavor she pursued. In the years that followed, Sarah found her greatest joy in her family. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Donald Wilson, and together they raised two wonderful children, Pennie and David (Renee), who were the light of her life. Her legacy continues through her 10 cherished grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, each one a testament to the love and guidance she provided. Sarah's family was her pride and joy, but her heart was big enough to embrace many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her life. Her home was a place of gathering, where laughter was abundant and love was always in the air. Beyond her family, Sarah had a passion for golf, a sport she enjoyed alongside her dear friends. Whether on the green or in the clubhouse, Sarah's radiant spirit and infectious laughter were ever-present, bringing joy to all who shared these moments with her. While Sarah has now rejoined her parents, husband, and siblings in eternal rest, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her legacy is one of love, devotion, and the unwavering strength of family. In our memories, she will forever be the kind, gentle, and loving soul that she was in life. A celebration of Sarah's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor the beautiful life she led and the countless lives she touched. Until then, let us hold her memory close and remember the joy she brought into our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Sarah's name, continuing her legacy of kindness and generosity. Rest in peace, dear Sarah. You will be missed, but your spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
