She was the beloved daughter of the late Nancy and Brian Smith and a dear sister to Alyssa Smith and LeBron Smith. She was predeceased by her brother, Austin Smith, and now joins him and her parents in eternal rest.
Sarah was a passionate and dedicated educator, holding a degree in history. She found immense joy in her role as a substitute teacher, where for over 18 years, she shared her vast knowledge and infectious enthusiasm with countless children. Her commitment to nurturing young minds was unparalleled, and she remains fondly remembered by her students and colleagues alike.
A devoted member of Clifton Baptist Church, Sarah’s faith was her guiding light. She was a regular presence at church services, where her voice filled the sanctuary with praises to the Lord. Her unwavering faith and spiritual dedication inspired everyone around her.
Sarah was known for her creativity and zest for life. She loved scrapbooking and crafting, often surprising friends and family with heartfelt handmade gifts. Her fascination with true crime shows brought her many hours of intrigue and entertainment. However, it was her vibrant smile and her ability to have everyone in stitches with her stories that truly made her unforgettable. Sarah had the rare gift of lighting up any room she entered, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed her path.
A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held on September 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Clifton Baptist Church, located at 1947 Frankfort Ave., Louisville, KY 40206. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are welcome to attend and honor her remarkable journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Sarah's generous spirit and her desire to make the world a better place.
