It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sandy Hart, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed from this world peacefully of natural causes on August 9, 2026. Born on February 14, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Sandy was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her. Sandy was the cherished daughter of the late Mac and Dorothy Brincfield. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 48 years, Leo Hart, whose memory she held dear until her final days. Together, Sandy and Leo built a life filled with love and laughter, leaving a legacy of family that continues to grow and thrive. Sandy is survived by her loving children, son Richard L. Hart (kendra Hart) and daughter Erica Hart. She was the proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Chelsie, Haley, Ian, and Evan and Dorian. Her sisters, Paulette Hatcher and Maxine Smith, also survive her, carrying forward the bond of sisterhood that enriched their lives. A graduate of Crispus Attucks High School in 1969, Sandy's early career saw her working at Blocks and LS Ayers before transitioning to Regions Bank. Unfortunately, health issues led her to retire early, but this did not deter her spirit or her commitment to her community. For 45 years, Sandy was a devoted member of the Greater Morning Star Baptist Church where she found immense joy in singing. Her voice, filled with faith and joy, resonated with everyone who heard it. The family invites friends and loved ones to join in celebrating Sandy's life on August 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Greater Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, located at 519 E 23rd St., Indianapolis, Indiana, 46205. Together, we will honor the beautiful life she led and the countless lives she touched. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers and donations. Sandy's laughter, love, and song will forever remain in our hearts. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and joy that will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends.
