July 31, 1945 — May 22, 2026

Sandra Studer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on May 22, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on July 31, 1945, in Akron, Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of the late John and Mary Cosby. Sandra's life was defined by love, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to the well-being of those around her. Sandra, affectionately known as Sandi, graduated from Coventry High School and pursued her passion for caring for others by obtaining a nursing degree. Her career culminated in a 30-year tenure at the VA Hospital, where she made a profound impact on countless lives with her kindness and empathy. After dedicating decades to her profession, she retired, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and service. On August 16, 1966, she married the love of her life, Donald Studer, with whom she shared a remarkable 60 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and treasured memories. Sandi's favorite moments were those spent surrounded by her family. Her daughters, Lauren Bauer, Lisa (Mike) Haynes, and Amy (Jason) Grezlik, brought immense joy to her life, as did her six beloved grandchildren, who knew her as a source of warmth and unwavering support. Her extended family, including three brothers, nieces, and nephews, held a special place in her heart. A devoted member of St. Francis Parish for over 40 years, Sandi's faith was a guiding light in her life. She believed deeply in kindness and saw the beauty in every soul she encountered. Her happiness was infectious, and she found her greatest joy in witnessing others experiencing the simple pleasures of life. Sandra was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Cosby, and her dear friends, Connie Miller and Joan McMahon. Her legacy of love and kindness lives on through her surviving family members and the countless lives she touched. In honor of Sandra's life and her battle with Alzheimer's, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at donorservices.alz.org in lieu of flowers. A private ceremony will be held to celebrate her life and legacy. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her home hospice team—Tammy, Stephanie, Saundra, and Cassandra—whose compassionate care and kindness were a source of comfort during Sandra's final days. Sandra Studer will be remembered as a beautiful soul who lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to others. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her legacy of love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
