Sandra Lyne Bezel

July 16, 1971 – June 30, 2026 Sandra Lyne Bezel, lovingly known as Sandie, was born on July 16, 1971, and passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2026. She was a proud graduate of Lake Shore High School, Class of 1989.As a young girl, Sandie played softball in middle school, holding down first base with determination and pride. One of her favorite memories was hearing her dad cheer her on, especially when she stepped up to bat with his joyful call of “Hubba Hubba!” Sandie was also very active in choir, where her dedication and spirit were recognized with an award in her senior year. She had a creative heart. She loved to write poetry, tell great stories, and spend time with her coloring books. These simple joys reflected her imagination, humor, and the thoughtful way she expressed herself even though she hated hugs. Her first jobs were in day care, where she shared her natural gift for caring for children. Sandie was knowledgeable and loving and had a special place in her heart for kids. Later in life, Sandie worked in Port Austin as a bartender at The Landing. Her customers loved her, and many made a point to visit when they knew Sandie was working. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, ensuring that each person had a good time while also keeping everything in order whenever she was in charge. She also worked at the Lighthouse Restaurant and at Walt’s Meats, where she continued to bring her strong work ethic and caring spirit to those around her. Sandie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Monica Bezel, and her nephew, Donald Bezel III, she is survived by her sisters and brothers, Michele, Sue, Don, Lori, Rick, and Sharon. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews and friends whose lives she touched with kindness, humor, and care. Sandie will be remembered for her love of children, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends and all the children whose lives were brighter because she was part of them.
