Sandra Lee Tooker, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Elizabethtown on Saturday, July 25, 2026, enveloped in love and warmth. Born on September 10, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, Sandra was a beacon of strength and compassion throughout her 81 years of life.
Sandra was the cherished daughter of the late Samuel D. Farris and Annabelle S. Farris. She shared a special bond with her siblings and was predeceased by her sister, Bonnie Lynn Dales, and brother, David Mark Farris. Sandra's heart bore the weight of unimaginable loss with the passing of her beloved sons, Trevor and Troy Tooker. Yet, she remained a pillar of resilience and grace, finding solace and joy in her surviving family.
Sandra is lovingly survived by her brothers, Gary and Kevin Farris, and her sister, Karen O'Connor. Her legacy lives on through her devoted sons, Todd, Chad, Shane, and Jason Tooker, who will forever hold her memory close. Sandra's family has grown exponentially, blessed with 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of her spirit and love.
A woman of unwavering faith, Sandra was an active member of the New Hope Baptist Church of Glendale, Kentucky. Her faith community was a source of strength and companionship, reflecting her deep commitment to service and spirituality. Her gentle spirit and dedication to her beliefs touched the lives of many who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sandra's life will be honored in a private ceremony, respecting her wishes for an intimate gathering of family and close friends. Her family takes comfort in the knowledge that her generous and loving soul will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
