Sandra Joanne Revielle, born on October 30, 1934, in the historical heart of Virginia, peacefully departed this world on April 24, 2026, at the age of 91. Sandra was a woman whose spirit was as vibrant and enduring as the books she cherished throughout her life.
Sandra's journey was one marked by a profound love for her family, an insatiable curiosity for the world, and an unwavering zest for life. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Antonio "Tony" Rocco Revielle, whose memory she treasured and spoke of with fondness and admiration. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and countless adventures.
A lifelong devotee of literature, Sandra found her professional home at Gordon's Book, a haven that allowed her to merge her passion for reading with her career. Her love for books was infectious, and she delighted in sharing her literary discoveries with friends and family, fostering a love of reading in those around her.
Sandra's greatest legacy is her family, who carry forward her spirit and values. She is survived by her devoted daughter Melissa Loan and her husband Dan, who blessed her with two cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Conor Loan. Her loving spirit also lives on in her daughter Maureen Revielle-Torres, who, alongside her late husband Michael Torres, gave Sandra the joy of grandchildren Michael O'Connor and Miranda McBride. Her daughter Nina Killorin, with her husband John, brought further joy into Sandra's life with their daughter Carly Killorin. Sandra's heart was further filled with love by her six great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored and who will carry her legacy into the future.
Sandra was a woman who embraced life with a free spirit. Her love for shopping, dining at her favorite spot, Los Arcos, and traveling to new places were just some of the ways she celebrated the beauty of life. Her friends and family recall her as a beacon of warmth and kindness, her presence always bringing comfort and joy to those around her.
To have known Sandra was to have been touched by her generosity of spirit and her unfaltering kindness. Her memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have been part of her life. As we say goodbye, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman well-loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Sandra's name to a local library or literacy program, continuing her lifelong mission to spread the joy of reading.
