Sandra Joanne Humes, a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured friend, peacefully passed away at her home on August 6, 2026. Born on May 22, 1943, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Sandra was the cherished daughter of Adam and Ruth Spidel. Throughout her life, she embodied love, kindness, and strength, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Sandra grew up in a close-knit family, alongside her sister Pauline Henry, who predeceased her and with whom she shared countless cherished memories. From an early age, Sandra demonstrated an unwavering sense of compassion and empathy, traits that would define her life and relationships. Sandra was a woman of many talents and passions. She was known for her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and the warm, welcoming home she created with her husband of 50 years, Gary L. Humes. Together, they built a life filled with love and joy, marked by their deep and abiding partnership. Sandra's commitment to her family was unparalleled, and she took immense pride in nurturing and supporting her children, Marlin D. Kenley Jr. (Kimberly) and Sherri L. Linen (Darren), as well as her honorary daughter, Patricia Garcia. Her heart was wide, and her family extended beyond the bonds of blood. She cherished her stepsons, Gary Humes Jr. and Karmin Humes, with whom she shared a special bond. Sandra's love and guidance extended to her four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was also a beloved aunt to a whole host of nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Sandra was a beacon of love and warmth in her community, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. Her kindness touched countless lives, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
