She was preceded in death by her parents and her devoted husband, Joseph "Joe" Baxley. Together, Sandra and Joe shared a life that was a testament to true companionship and love—a bond so deep and genuine that those who knew them could see their connection was a rare and beautiful thing. A dedicated mother, Sandra is survived by her daughter, Criscia "Crissy" Ansell, who carries forward her mother's legacy of strength and kindness. Sandra's love and guidance also touched the lives of her grandchildren, Jeremy Head and Nikki, Fisher Head and Sarah, and Hunter Head and Kristy. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and pride. Sandra's siblings, Ricky and Pam Hinote, Sue Hatcher, and Betty Williams, remain to cherish their memories of a sister whose gentle spirit and love of the outdoors influenced all who knew her. Her life was a tapestry woven with threads of adventure and tranquility. Sandra was an avid outdoorswoman, finding her peace and joy in the embrace of nature. Her days were often spent fishing along the serene rivers and creeks, accompanied by Joe, where they found solace in the beauty of the world around them. Sandra was also a skilled marksman, spending time in the woods where she felt at home, waiting patiently for wildlife to grace her presence. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond the wilderness into her garden and kitchen. Sandra took immense pride in canning the fruits of her labor, sharing the bounty of her garden with those she loved. Her passion for birdwatching and her vibrant garden were reflections of her appreciation for the simple joys of life. Sandra's life was characterized by her unwavering kindness and her commitment to helping others. Her compassionate spirit touched the lives of many, and her legacy of love and empathy will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A service to honor Sandra's life will be held on August 18, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at the National Cremation and Burial Society, located at 5641 US-90, Milton, FL 32583.
