SANDRA GAIL PRESNELL

Sandra Gail Presnell, a cherished wife, devoted mother, and beloved grandmother, passed peacefully from this life on May 19, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on October 26, 1944, in Mountain City, Tennessee. She lived in Carter County for a number of years. Sandra was the daughter of James Guinn and Pauline Proffitt Robinson. Her life was a testament to love, faith, and the joy of family, which she so graciously shared with all who knew her. Sandra was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Adam Presnell, and her dear siblings, Carolyn McDaniel, Lena Brewer, Darlene Harris, Donna Robinson, Randy, and Gary Robinson. Their memories were close to her heart and she cherished the times spent together, holding them in fond remembrance. Surrounded by the love of her family, Sandra is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, George Presnell. Together, they raised five children who carry forward her legacy: Mike Presnell and his wife Nicole, Tony Presnell and his wife Julie, Angie Presnell Simerly and her husband Mark, George Presnell Jr., and John Presnell. Her cherished family was her pride and joy, and she delighted in the lives of her 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, each of whom she held dear. Four sisters Brenda Guinn, Frances Holly, Mozetta Norris, Paulette Grindstaff, and Lisa Taylor, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra's passions extended beyond her family and faith; she had a keen interest in collecting glassware. A service to honor Sandra's life will be held on May 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Proffitt Cemetery in Mountain City, TN. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of a life well-lived, offering solace and support to one another in this time of loss.
