In Loving Memory

Sandra Gail Kelley
June 5, 1960 — October 20, 2026
Sandra Gail Kelley, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully departed this life on October 20, 2026. Born on June 5, 1960, in the charming town of Paris, Texas, Sandra graced the world with her vivacious spirit and warm-hearted nature for 66 beautiful years.
The daughter of the late John and Nellie (Rector) Kelley, Sandra was a cherished member of a large and loving family. Though she was predeceased by her parents, brothers Gordon, James, and Kenneth Kelley, and sisters Lawana Smallwood, Betty Hardy, and Patsy Kelley, Sandra's legacy of love and laughter continues through her surviving siblings: brothers J.C. Kelley and his wife Barbara, and Mickey Kelley and his wife Kay; and sisters Sue Moore and her husband Junior, Joyce Martin, Peggy Cross, Reba Robertson, and Shirley Kelley. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a vast circle of friends who will forever hold her dear in their hearts. Sandra was also preceded in death by her cherished furbabies, Moochie, Missy, and Oshki Roo, who brought her immense joy.
Sandra's life was a tapestry woven with vibrant experiences and heartfelt connections. A proud graduate of North Lamar High School's class of 1978, she pursued further education at Northeast Texas Community College, aspiring to become a funeral director. Though life led her on a different path, Sandra found her calling in the grocery and oil industries. She dedicated 20 years to Brookshire Grocery Company before transitioning to the oil pipeline industry, culminating in her retirement from Ovintiv Oil & Gas in Panna Maria, TX, in 2019. Never one to remain idle, Sandra returned to her hometown and continued to serve her community with grace and compassion at Fry Gibbs Funeral Home until her passing.
A woman of deep faith, Sandra attended Gospel Lighthouse PCOG in Powderly, Texas, where she found solace and strength in her spiritual journey. Her zest for life was evident in her love for travel, often setting sail on cruises to explore new horizons. A talented baker, she delighted in decorating cakes with creativity and care. Her passion for music was fulfilled through her frequent attendance at Merle Haggard concerts, where she reveled in the melodies that touched her soul.
Sandra possessed a quick smile and a bubbly personality, traits that endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her gift for conversation and infectious laughter brightened the lives of those around her. Though she jokingly claimed to be "too picky" for marriage, Sandra's heart was full of love for her family and friends, whom she cherished beyond measure.
A celebration of Sandra's life will take place on October 26, 2026, at 11:41 a.m. at the Gospel Lighthouse PCOG, located on Hwy 271 N, Powderly, TX. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman who touched their lives in countless ways.
