Sandra Fullford Felland
August 23, 1961 — April 11, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Sandra Fullford Felland, known affectionately to many as Sandi, on April 11, 2026. Sandi left this world peacefully at home in Norfolk, Virginia, after a courageous and valiant battle with cancer. Her remarkable strength and grace in the face of adversity were a testament to the indomitable spirit that defined her life.
Sandi was born on August 23, 1961, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Frances Davis and Henry Fullford. From the very beginning, she was a bright light in the lives of her family and friends. She grew up in Norfolk, where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1979, forming lifelong friendships that she cherished dearly.
In 1986, Sandi married the love of her life, Tom Felland, beginning a beautiful journey together that would last 40 years. Tom was not only her beloved partner but also her steadfast caregiver, providing unwavering support and love during her illness. Their union was a true partnership, marked by love, respect, and mutual admiration.
Sandi is survived by her devoted husband, Tom; her dear siblings Tammy Pinto, Ron Prince, and Bobby Bradshaw; and her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchild, who brought immense joy to her heart. She is predeceased by her beloved sister, Teresa Davis Lancaster, and her daughter, Melissa Fullford, whom she now joins in eternal rest.
Sandi's legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she took immense pride in watching her grandchildren grow, always encouraging them to follow their dreams. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, as she was known to friends and neighbors as a caring and generous soul, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear.
A service to celebrate Sandi's life will be held on May 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, located at 8464 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember the incredible life Sandi lived and the countless lives she touched.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Sabrina for her unwavering love and support, especially in assisting with Sandi's medical care. Her kindness will always be remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Sandi's name to a cancer research organization of your choice, so that we may continue to fight this disease that Sandi bravely battled.
Sandi will forever be remembered for her kindness, her infectious laughter, and the warmth she brought to the lives of those who knew her. Though our hearts are heavy with her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace and that her spirit will continue to guide us.
Rest in peace, dear Sandi. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
