Sandra Christiansen

Sandra Christiansen, a cherished wife, devoted mother, and beloved grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026, in Woodbury, Minnesota, at the Woodbury Senior Home. Born Sandra Eller on December 7, 1943, in Peoria, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite Eller. Sandra lived a life characterized by kindness and a steadfast dedication to her family. As a young woman, Sandra pursued a career in nursing and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), where her gentle touch and caring nature provided comfort to many. Her career journey took a unique turn when she and her husband, Dennis Christiansen, co-owned and operated the Keg and Cork liquor store in East Peoria, Illinois. Together, they created a welcoming space for the community, building friendships and fostering a sense of camaraderie among their patrons. Sandra's heart, however, always remained with her family. She and Dennis shared a beautiful marriage, and together, they raised two children, Penny and Jeffrey. Sandra's devotion to her family was unwavering; she always put them first, nurturing and supporting them with love and guidance. Her children, Penny (Patrick) Phillip and Jeffrey (Kristin) Christiansen, remember her as a pillar of strength and a beacon of unconditional love. As a grandmother, Sandra found immense joy in her grandchildren: Sarah and Mathew Berg, Troy and Madi Christiansen, Alyssa Phillip and great grandson Noah. Her home was a place of laughter and love, where stories were shared, and traditions were passed down. Her grandchildren were of great joy and pride. Sandra's gentle spirit and kind heart left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her warmth and generosity were evident in every aspect of her life, and she will be remembered for the profound love she had for her family and friends.
