Sandra Asbridge

Sandra Asbridge, a beloved and wife and mother of her family. She passed at her home in Woodway, Texas, on August 22, 2026. Born on February 19, 1952, in Houston, Texas, Sandra was the daughter of Harold "Smoky" Swarthout and Joyce Swarthout. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Sandra's journey was marked by her deep-rooted love for her family. She married the love of her life, Gary Floyd Asbridge, on December 30, 1996. Sandra had a love for carpentry that she learned through her father. She Loved being outside working on her property and she had a passion for crafts and baking. She also loved her deep rooted Indian Heritage. She Loved being in nature and deeply her dogs. Preceded in death by her husband Gary, her parents Harold and Joyce, her brother Larry Swarthout, and her precious granddaughters Shelby Slade and Breanna Abraham, Sandra's legacy continues through the lives of those she leaves behind. Her children, James Slade and his wife Faith of Buffalo, Texas, and Carrie Abraham of Waco, Texas, who were the light of her life. Sandra's siblings, Cheryl Christine Burks of Jewett, Texas, and Michael Dean Swarthout of Buffalo. Her Pride and joy were her grandchildren—Brittany Watts and her husband Donald, James Christian Slade, Lindsey Abraham, and James Nathan Abraham—as well as her great-great-grandchildren Shaylen Cathleen Abraham, Melody Slade, Kayla Ray Watts, James Colton Watts, and Emi Watts. Sandra also cherished her nieces and nephews—Corina, Belinda, Bubba, Mikie, Angie, Amanda, and Abby—each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her home was her sanctuary of laughter and love, where everyone was welcome and cared for. Throughout her life, Sandra demonstrated an unwavering commitment to those she loved. Her generosity, kindness, and ability to make everyone feel special will be dearly missed. Sandra's life was a beacon of light, illuminating the path for her family with her grace, wisdom, and compassion. As we bid farewell to Sandra, we hold onto the precious memories and the love she so freely shared. Her legacy will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
