SAMUEL MAC TENGEY
April 28, 1956 — August 7, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Samuel Tengey, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Samuel passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, after a brief illness. Born on April 28, 1956, in Ho, Volta Region, Ghana, Samuel lived a life full of love, service, and dedication to his family and community.
Samuel's journey through life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his loved ones and his community. He was a beacon of light, whose kindness and wisdom touched the lives of many. As a devoted husband to Catharine Tengey, their marriage was a testament to true partnership and love. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Joan-Lovia, Dennis Dela, and Dorinda Tengey, who were the pride and joy of his life.
As a father, Samuel's guidance and support were unmatched. He instilled values of integrity, perseverance, and compassion in his children, who carry on his legacy with great honor. Samuel's love extended beyond his immediate family to include five cherished grandchildren, on whom he doted endlessly, and his siblings, Helen Adzo Gold, Wisdom Seyram Tengey, Felix Tengey, and Happy Adzimahe, with whom he shared unbreakable bonds.
Samuel was known for his deep faith and commitment to his church community. His presence at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Agotime Kpetoe, Volta Region, Ghana, was a testament to his devotion and spiritual strength. His faith was his guiding light, and he shared it generously with those around him.
To honor Samuel's life, a memorial service will be held on December 12, 2026, at 9:00 AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Agotime Kpetoe, VR, Ghana.
