Samuel was predeceased by his cherished wife, Dorothy May Lee, with whom he shared a deeply loving and inspiring partnership for over 60 years. Samuel is lovingly remembered by his devoted daughter, Leta Thurman, and her husband Willie, who were constant sources of joy and support throughout his life. His legacy continues through his six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, each of whom he adored and who brought immense pride and happiness to his days.
