In Loving Memory

Samuel D. Mcdaniel
July 21, 1958 — July 2, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Samuel D. McDaniel, a cherished brother, devoted friend. Samuel departed this world peacefully at his home on July 2, 2026, at the age of 67, surrounded by the warmth and love of family and dear ones.
Born on July 21, 1958, in the picturesque town of Florence, Alabama, Samuel was the beloved son of the late Samuel and Mary P. McDaniel. He was preceded in death by his dear parents, his sister Carmen McDaniel, and his brother Zachary McDaniel, all of whom he held close in his heart.
Samuel's life was up and down but got joy with friends and family. He found immense pleasure in the art of woodworking, spending countless hours helping to build and work on furniture alongside his close friend. Samuel's crafting pieces were not just functional but infused with care and precision. His love for dining out was another aspect of his life that brought him happiness, as he relished the shared stories and laughter over good meals.
Samuel leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his brother Ernest McDaniel, and his two loving sisters, Rhonda Steward and Janice (along with her husband, Anthony) Hopkins. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit and kindness will continue with those who knew him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered prayers and acts of kindness during this time of bereavement. Your support has been a source of great comfort.
A service to honor and celebrate Samuel's life will be held on July 18, 2026, at 12:30 PM at the Dortch-Williamson Funeral & Cremation Service, located at 1410 Highway 138 SW, Riverdale, GA 30296. Friends and family are invited to gather and share in the joy of his life and the memories he leaves behind.
May Samuel D. McDaniel rest in eternal peace, forever in our hearts.
