Samual, known affectionately as Sam, was a good friend to all who knew him. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Glenda (Cable) Rodriguez, whom he married in 1971. Together, they shared a beautiful life filled with adventure and joy. Sam and Glenda frequently traveled to Texas to visit relatives and returning with gifts for friends and family, a testament to their generous spirit and thoughtfulness.
A proud graduate of Urbana High School, Sam dedicated many years of his life working as a forklift operator at Chi-Vit and Drackett. His work ethic and commitment were admired by colleagues and friends alike. Beyond his professional life, Sam was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Urbana, where he found community and spiritual fulfillment.
Sam had a zest for life, enjoying hobbies such as golf and bowling. He was a passionate supporter of the Urbana Hillclimbers, cheering them on under the Friday night lights. His enthusiasm and spirited nature will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of sharing these moments with him.
