Sametta Williams Graham

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sametta Williams Graham, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on September 8, 2026. Born on June 25, 1961, Sametta was a beacon of light to all who knew her. Throughout her 65 years, she touched countless lives with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. Sametta was the cherished daughter of the late Samuel Edgar Williams and Etta Mae Williams. She was preceeded in death by her devoted parents, two sisters, Flossie Mae Williams and Georgia Williams Teal, and her beloved grandson, Jae'Sean Hooks. Though they have gone before her, their memories remain etched in her heart and the hearts of those she leaves behind. Sametta shared over 30 years of love and companionship with her husband, Collins Graham, whom she married on December 18, 1992, in Winston Salem, NC. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Together they were blessed to nurture two daughters, Hannah Hooks and Leah Williams, and a step-son, Johnathan Gwyn, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. As a grandmother of two, Sametta found immense pleasure in nurturing and cherishing her grandchildren. A proud graduate of Parkland High School, Sametta was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent many years contributing to Gallows Plastics Company in Winston Salem. Her professional journey also led her to Janitech, where she met her husband, marking the beginning of their beautiful story together. Sametta was a woman of many talents and interests. She found joy in spending time with her family, watching movies, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Her culinary skills were matched only by her ability to bring people together, often using her gift of cooking to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Her smile and contagious laughter were her signature traits, and she was known for her servant leader heart. Sametta had a remarkable way of making others feel loved, valued, and welcomed, regardless of the circumstance. She believed in giving freely and generously; if she had it and someone needed it, she gave it. Sametta is survived by her beloved husband, Collins; her children, Hannah, Leah, and Johnathan; her siblings, Sammy (Tida) Williams, Pamela Craft, Clara Williams, Rachel Williams, Albert (Sylvia) Williams, and David Williams; and a host of family and friends who were touched by her presence. The world is a little dimmer without Sametta's radiant warmth, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
