Samantha Anita Acoff Ogunleye
May 14, 2026 — July 27, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Samantha Anita Acoff Ogunleye, who was called home on July 27, 2026. Born on May 14, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois, Samantha graced this world with her vibrant spirit and generous heart for a brief but impactful span of life.
Samantha was the beloved daughter of Samuel Acoff Jr and Louise Antoinette Fola. From a young age, she was surrounded by the love of her family, and she carried that warmth into every aspect of her life. Though many of her cherished family members, including Loose Naiomi Fola, Eugene Walter Fola, Genora Acoff, Samuel Acoff Jr., Ollie Fola, Ellery Eugene Fola, Donald Fola, and Michael Acoff, have preceded her in passing, their spirits live on through her enduring memories.
Her journey of education began at William G Beale and culminated with her graduation from Harold L. Richards High School in 1995. Fueling her passion for beauty and care, she pursued further education at Capri Beauty College, where she honed her skills and developed what would become her life's work.
Samantha's career was more than a job—it was her calling. She shared her love for hairstyling and her compassionate spirit with the residents and staff at Pavilion Nursing Home, fondly referred to by her as the T.R.A.P. Her talents went beyond her "magic hands"; she had an exceptional ability to make others feel beautiful, both inside and out.
Her infectious laughter and welcoming personality meant that Samantha never met a stranger. She had a gift for turning acquaintances into friends with a mere smile or joke. Her love for dance, song, and time spent with loved ones painted her life with joy and celebration. Every gathering was brighter with Samantha's presence, and she was often the heart of every party she attended.
Samantha's indelible legacy will forever be her big heart, lively spirit, and the unique concoctions she created to bring beauty and happiness to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, connection, and unwavering love.
A service to celebrate Samantha's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 9:01 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Samantha's memory.
Though Samantha's time with us was short, the laughter, love, and light she shared with the world will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
