He was married to his soulmate, Rachael Sympson, on October 31, 1966. Their marriage was a testament to love and partnership, lasting 52 wonderful years until her passing in 2018. Together, they built a family filled with warmth and joy. A self-made man, Sam worked tirelessly for himself, a career path that he held as one of his proudest accomplishments. His entrepreneurial spirit and determination were admired by many and served as an inspiration to all who knew him. Sam was a devoted Christian who found solace and community in attending various churches regularly. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through both joyous and challenging times. He was an avid bowler and hiking enthusiast, often found basking in the beauty of the great outdoors. Sam's love for nature was matched only by his passion for pasta, as he delighted in crafting homemade pasta from scratch and experimenting with new recipes, much to the delight of family and friends.
