Sam Homeyer

April 20, 1991 — May 11, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sam Homeyer, a beloved partner, parent, daughter, sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully on May 11, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones after a brief illness. Born on April 20, 1991, in the vibrant city of Cleveland, Ohio, Sam brought joy and warmth to everyone she encountered throughout her 35 years of life. Sam was the cherished daughter of Jennifer and the late Timothy Homeyer. Her father’s spirit and love for life lived on in her, and it is comforting to think of them reunited now. She was also predeceased by her dear nephew, Rayden, whose memory she carried tenderly in her heart. Sam is survived by her loving partner of 15 years, Nate, who stood by her side through both the sunshine and the storms. Together, they built a beautiful life, full of laughter and love, and were blessed with three wonderful children: MJ, Alistair, and Octavia. Each child was a unique joy to Sam, and she nurtured them with the same warmth and care that defined her character. Her mother, Jennifer, and sisters, Jess and Beth, will forever hold Sam close, cherishing the countless memories and shared experiences that knit their family together. An avid outdoor adventurist, Sam found peace and exhilaration in the embrace of nature. She loved nothing more than hiking through the wilderness, rock collecting, and discovering the beauty of the world around her. Her adventures were not just hobbies but a testament to her unyielding spirit and boundless curiosity. Sam’s musical abilities were another hallmark of her personality. Her warm smile and melodious voice could liven up any room, turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. She had a unique gift for bringing people together, and her songs will continue to echo in the hearts of those who knew her. In accordance with Sam’s wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life and legacy. Her family appreciates the love and support of friends and community during this difficult time and kindly asks for privacy as they grieve the loss of such a remarkable soul. Though Sam’s physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit will forever illuminate the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and music that will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a nature conservation charity, as a tribute to Sam’s enduring love for the great outdoors. May her journey continue in the peace and beauty of eternity, and may we all find solace in the memories of the joy she brought into our lives.
