It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sam Ellis, who departed this life on June 3, 2026, at the age of 40. Sam was born on March 29, 1986, in the vibrant city of Chicago, where he spent his entire life spreading joy and laughter to all those around him. Sam was the cherished son of Robin Ellis and the late Curtis Williams, and he was a beacon of light to many who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his dear father, Curtis Williams, his loving brother, Jeromy Ellis, and his beloved grandmother, Cathrine Ellis, whose memories he carried with him always. A beloved brother, Sam is survived by his sisters, Crystal Williams and Amanda Ellis, and his brothers, Curtis Ellis and Markez Ellis. He was the adored uncle to a host of nephews and nieces, and a treasured cousin to many. His family was his heart, and he cherished every moment spent in their company. Sam never married, but he was surrounded by a family that loved him deeply and friends who were like family. His work life was spent in various warehouses, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. But it was outside of work where Sam truly shone. He had an immense passion for cars and music, and he was often found dancing, laughing, and sharing good times with his loved ones. His jokes and friendly ways brought smiles to faces and lightened the hearts of everyone he met. Sam Ellis was the kind of person who could fill a room with happiness and warmth. He was known as the light of the family, always happy, always bringing people together with his infectious laughter and love for life. His spirit was indomitable, and his joy was contagious. A celebration of Sam's life will be held on June 12, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Home of Life MB Church, located at 4650 W Madison St, Chicago, IL 60644. Family, friends, and all those whose lives Sam touched are invited to join us in honoring his memory and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to everyone who loved and cared for Sam and to those who will join us in celebrating his remarkable life.
