It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Sally Miller. Sally departed this world on May 5, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unyielding spirit.
Born on July 28, 1931, in the charming city of Spokane, Washington, Sally was the cherished daughter of Ralph and Bonita Chapin. She grew up in a household brimming with warmth and love, values she carried with her throughout her life. Sally was predeceased by her parents and her devoted husband, Bill, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and adventures.
Sally's life was a tapestry woven with vibrant threads of exploration and passion. Alongside Bill, she embraced the wonders of the great outdoors, where they found solace and joy in camping beneath starry skies. Their love for nature led them to build a log cabin in the serene town of Ennis, a place that became a sanctuary for family gatherings and cherished moments.
A woman of many talents, Sally dedicated years to working at the Happy Angler Antique Store, where her keen eye for beauty and knack for storytelling made her a beloved figure among colleagues and patrons alike. Her adventurous spirit and zest for life took her on travels across the United States and Europe, broadening her horizons and enriching her soul with diverse cultures and experiences.
Sally's home was always filled with warmth and the cheerful barks of her beloved dachshunds, who were her constant companions and a testament to her nurturing nature. Her laughter was infectious, and her kindness knew no bounds.
Sally is survived by her loving children, Rick (Debbie) Miller and Cathy (Gary) Forney, who were blessed by her unwavering love and guidance throughout their lives. Her legacy continues to shine brightly in her four adoring grandchildren, whose lives she touched with her wisdom, humor, and unconditional love.
In her later years, Sally received compassionate care at the Manor, where she spent her final days surrounded by the same nurturing love she had always given. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at the Manor for their kindness and support during this time.
Sally Miller lived a life full of grace, adventure, and love. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell, we carry her spirit in our hearts, comforted by the memories of a remarkable woman who left the world a better place.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Sally's name to a charity of your choice, celebrating her spirit of giving and compassion.
A celebration of Sally's life will be held at a later date, where friends and family can gather to share stories and honor the extraordinary life she led.
