In loving memory of Sally McCraw, who peacefully passed away on October 23, 2026, in the comforting presence of her family. Sally was born on January 27, 1939, in Ohio to the proud parents, Allen H. Jacobs Sr. and Mary Ellen Willard. She grew up with a deep appreciation for family, honesty, and faith, traits that she carried gracefully throughout her life.
Sally was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Charles R. McCraw, with whom she shared many wonderful years of companionship and love. Their marriage was a testament to enduring partnership and mutual respect. Together, they raised their cherished son, Michael, who survives her. Sally's legacy continues through her two adoring grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to her life.
An alumna of college, Sally was known for her dedication and hard work. She carved out a successful career as a bookkeeper, a role that allowed her to indulge in her passion for numbers and organization. Her enthusiasm for electronics was evident, as she truly lived to work with them, always embracing new challenges with vigor and intelligence.
Sally's life was enriched by her membership in the Kingston Assembly, where she found community and spiritual fulfillment. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and providing comfort through all of life's ups and downs.
A lover of books, television, and movies, Sally had an insatiable curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. These interests reflected her thoughtful and introspective nature. Known for her honesty and being a good listener, she had a remarkable ability to help others find reason and guidance, always offering a supportive ear and wise counsel, even in her own challenging times.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate Sally's life at a service on November 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Colonial Chapel, located at 4593 Indian Springs Rd. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. They would also like to share a special message: "Forever in our hearts."
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Sally's honor to a charity of your choice, in keeping with her spirit of generosity and compassion.
