It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend, Sally Lawrence, aged 85, on March 7th, 2026, at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Born on November 16, 1940, in the serene town of Fort Yukon, Sally lived a life that was rich in love, faith, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Sally was born to Leah Roberts and was a cherished sister to Fred Roberts. Her early years in Fort Yukon were filled with the warmth of family and the joy of a tight-knit community. Sally grew up surrounded by nature's beauty and the enduring bonds of family, which she carried with her throughout her life. Sally's life was marked by her deep faith and her unyielding love for her family. She was predeceased by her loving parents, many of her brothers and cousins, and her dear son, Gary Lawrence, whose memory she held close to her heart. Despite these profound losses, Sally's resilience and kindness never wavered, and she continued to be a beacon of strength and compassion for those around her. Sally is survived by her cherished brother, Fred Roberts, and her devoted children, Leah Lawrence and Eli Peter. Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren, Cheyenne Horace-Lawrence, Minnie Peter, Damian Horace-Lawrence, Emmanuel Glazer, and Brayden Glazer, each of whom she adored and nurtured with boundless love. Her great-grandchildren, Tiana and Damian's soon-to-be-born son, Dimond, brought immense joy to her life, and she took great pride in their growth and achievements. Throughout her life, Sally was a pillar of grace and wisdom. Her home was a haven of warmth and laughter, and her door was always open to friends and family. She was known for her generosity, gentle spirit, and the ability to offer solace and encouragement to anyone in need. Sally's deep faith was a guiding force, providing her with strength and comfort, which she shared abundantly with others. Sally had a remarkable ability to weave love into every aspect of her life, from her involvement in her community to the cherished time spent with family. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and an unyielding commitment to those she held dear. As we celebrate Sally's life, we find solace in the memories she leaves behind and the profound impact she had on all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, yet her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones. A service to honor Sally's remarkable life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and the love she so generously shared. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sally's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her giving spirit and dedication to helping others. Rest in peace, dear Sally, as you join your loved ones in the embrace of the Lord. Your legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
