Sally Abbott Shiebler
October 5, 1934 — July 3, 2026
Sally Abbott Shiebler, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully after a short stay in the hospital on July 3, 2026. Born on October 5, 1934, in Babylon, Long Island, New York, Sally's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and resilience.
The daughter of Frederic and Joy Abbott, Sally was raised with her sisters June Weinschenk and Suzanne Howell, both of whom preceded her in death. Sally graduated from Babylon High School and pursued her passion for design at Endicott College in Beverly Farms, Massachusetts, where she earned a degree in Merchandizing and Interior Decorating.
Sally married the love of her life, Edward R. Shiebler, on June 15, 1957. Together, they shared nearly 57 wonderful years of marriage until Edward's passing in 2014. Their union was blessed with four children: Amy Shiebler David, Timothy Shiebler, Jonathan Shiebler, and Christopher Shiebler. Though she endured the profound loss of her sons Jonathan in 2011 and Timothy in 2021, Sally's unwavering strength and kindness continued to shine through.
Her beloved grandchildren, Bill, Lauren, and the late Scott Shiebler, along with Sarah and Andrew David, brought her immense joy and pride. Sally's legacy of love and warmth will forever be cherished by her surviving daughter Amy Shiebler David, son Christopher Shiebler, and their families.
A woman of many talents, Sally dedicated over 30 years to the real estate industry as a respected Broker and Appraiser. Her professional achievements were matched only by her personal passions. Sally found solace and happiness in her garden, where she cultivated a variety of vegetables, including her favorite, corn on the cob. She was also known for her love of the beach house on Captree Island, where she embraced the tranquility of coastal living. Her bicoastal lifestyle allowed her to enjoy the beautiful weather of California, cherishing the precious moments spent with her children and grandchildren.
Sally was a kind-hearted individual who valued the time spent with her family and close friends. Her warm spirit and generous nature left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
