Born on October 7, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, Sage was a beacon of kindness, strength, and unwavering love for those around him. Sage was a beloved son to Sandra Hernandez and Alexis Smith, and a cherished brother to Bryan Tejas Hernandez and sisters Maria and Alisson Tejas Hernandez. His grandparents, Catalina and Adam Smith, were always proud of the man he became. Preceding him in death are his beloved wife, Megan Hernandez, their two precious daughters, Jocelyn and Kate Hernandez, and his uncles, Bony and Juan Hernandez. Sage also joins his great-grandparents, John and Becky Smith, in eternal peace. Sage and Megan's love story was one for the ages, beginning as high school sweethearts. Their journey together was filled with trials and triumphs, yet their love never faltered. They married on February 19, 2020, and were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Kate and Jocelyn. Despite life's challenges, they lived passionately and loved deeply until Megan's untimely passing. Now, they are reunited in eternity. Sage was a proud graduate of Los Angeles High School, class of 2013. His career was as varied as it was impactful. He worked as a real estate agent, a private security officer, a construction worker, and an MMA fighter. Sage's work ethic was unparalleled, and he was dedicated to providing for his family and helping others along the way. His hobbies reflected his vibrant personality and zest for life. Sage was an avid workout enthusiast, a passionate fisherman, and a devoted fan of the UFC. He found joy in helping his brother become a better person and cherished every moment spent with family. Those who knew Sage will remember him for his kind heart, a heart that held not an ounce of hate. His words had the power to uplift and comfort, even on the darkest of days. Sage's legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A service to honor and celebrate Sage’s life will be held on April 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Sellers Funeral Home, located at 313 W Baddour Pkwy, Lebanon. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of Sage, a truly remarkable man who was taken too soon. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who was a part of Sage’s life. He was an amazing human being who wished only the best for everyone around him. His life, though tragically cut short, was a testament to the power of love and kindness. Sage, you will forever live in our hearts. Rest in peace.
