Ryan Townsend, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at Deaconess Hospital on August 2, 2026, at the age of 50. Born on November 10, 1975, in Evansville, Indiana, Ryan graced this world with his presence, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. Ryan was the cherished son of Larry and Glenda Townsend, and he was lovingly predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Luella Krueger and Ralph Paulson, as well as his paternal grandparents, Martha Dickerson and Benjamin Townsend. He is survived by his devoted sister, Kelly Roe; his adoring daughter, Noelle Townsend; his loving son, Caleb Townsend; and his precious granddaughter, Aubree Smith, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life. A graduate of Harrison High School in 1994, Ryan was well-known and loved in his community. He spent many years as a server at Hacienda, where his charming demeanor and spunky attitude made him a favorite among colleagues and customers alike. His ability to tell the funniest jokes left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Ryan had a deep passion for heavy metal and 90s rap, and he spent much of his time writing, a hobby that brought him great joy and fulfillment. Above all, he was a wonderful grandfather, finding true happiness in the moments spent with his granddaughter, Aubree. A celebration of Ryan's life will be held on August 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, located at 2115 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
