Born on January 3, 1991, to Lola and Bill Rachal, Ryan grew up in University Place and attended Curtis High School. Ryan was kind, generous, and full of adventure. He loved cars, motorcycles, camping, and four-wheeling. Above all, he loved his family and friends. With his wonderful sense of humor, Ryan loved making everyone laugh, bringing joy and lasting memories to the people around him. Ryan held a commercial driver’s license and worked driving trucks. Many also knew him through his work in casino security. Ryan is survived by his wife, Serey; his daughter, Ava; his son, Mason; his mother, Lola Rachal; his brother, Zach; and his sisters, Alisha and Liz. He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Rachal. Ryan remained by Billy’s side during his battle with cancer, a reflection of the love and devotion he carried for his family. A gathering to remember and honor Ryan’s life will be held on October 16, 2026, from 2–4 at New Tacoma Funeral Home. Ryan’s family thanks everyone for their love, support, and presence as they remember him. As we part ways, let us remember that love never fades. Though Ryan is no longer physically with us, his spirit lives on in the kindness we show, the stories we share, and the love that remains in our hearts.

He Is Gone

You can shed tears that he is gone, Or you can smile because he has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back, Or you can open your eyes and see all he's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see him, Or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him and only that he's gone, Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, Or you can do what he'd want: Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Special Thanks

The family of Ryan Rachal extends heartfelt gratitude for your prayers, support, and kindness during this time.
