It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ryan Michael Ashley Kneisz, who left this world on May 5, 2026, at the age of 36. Born on October 3, 1989, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Ryan’s life was a testament to the beauty of kindness, the strength found in compassion, and the enduring impact of a gentle soul. Ryan was the beloved son of Mike and Tammy Kneisz, who cherished him deeply. His parents instilled in him values of love and empathy, which he carried throughout his life. Ryan was predeceased by his precious daughter, Savannah, who was a beacon of joy in his world. He is survived by his beloved girlfriend, Kendra, who stood by him with unwavering love and support. As a brother, Ryan shared an unbreakable bond with his siblings—brothers David, Steven, Josh, Sirius, and Brayden, and sisters Nicole, Melissa, Mercedes, and Auburn. Together, they formed a family tapestry rich in shared memories, laughter, and love. Ryan graduated from Miles Mac High School in 2010, marking the beginning of a journey that would see him touch many lives through his work and passions. His career was as varied as his interests, but most recently, he found fulfillment as a direct supervisor for Community Bridges in Gimli, a role that allowed him to use his innate kindness and leadership skills to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. An avid sports enthusiast, Ryan excelled in track and field, a testament to his determination and competitive spirit. He cherished the camaraderie of playing softball with his father and brother, creating memories that will forever be held dear. Those who knew Ryan remember him as a person who could light up a room with his smile. His kindness was not just a trait but a way of life—always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Ryan's ability to make others feel valued and cared for was a gift he shared generously. In accordance with Ryan’s wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held, allowing his family to honor his life in an intimate setting. Ryan’s last request was simple yet profound: that he be remembered for who he truly was—a kind and caring person, always ready to bring a smile to those around him. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out with support and love during this difficult time. They ask that you remember Ryan not only for the challenges he faced but for the light he brought into the world and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to mental health charities, continuing Ryan’s spirit of helping others in need. Ryan Michael Ashley Kneisz will be forever missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
