Ryan Curtis Jezequel
June 11, 1974 — March 16, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ryan Curtis Jezequel, who departed this world on March 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Born on June 11, 1974, in the quaint town of Woodstock, Ontario, Ryan was a beacon of light to all who knew him—a man whose life was a testament to the values he held dear.
Ryan's journey was one filled with dedication and hard work. He spent a decade honing his skills at Protocol in Hamilton, where his colleagues remember him for his commitment to quality and his cheerful demeanor. From 2012 to 2025, Ryan took to the roads with Deluxe Taxi in Barrie, where his passengers were often met with a warm smile and a listening ear. His career was not just a means to an end for Ryan; it was an opportunity to touch countless lives, leaving each a little brighter for having crossed his path.
A man of profound faith, Ryan embraced the promises of Christ and lived every day with honesty and compassion. His quiet strength and unwavering trust in the Lord were the foundation upon which he built his life, and his actions spoke volumes about his character. Ryan's generous heart was evident in everything he did—always putting others' needs above his own, he was a constant source of comfort and support to his family and friends.
Ryan's love for sports was infectious, and he found immense joy in cheering for his beloved Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Blue Jays. Whether it was the thrill of a hockey game or the crack of a baseball bat, these moments brought him closer to the people he loved and allowed him to share in the joy of life's simple pleasures. When not immersed in the excitement of sports, Ryan found solace in music, losing himself in the melodies that spoke to his soul.
He is survived by his cherished children, Joel Jezequel and Lev Jezequel, who were the pride and joy of his life. Ryan's love for them knew no bounds, and his legacy of love and kindness will continue to guide them. His sister, Mel O'Neill, and brother, Rob O'Neill, mourn the loss of their dear sibling, a bond that was as strong as it was unbreakable. Ryan's parents, Bob Jezequel and Gayle Beisel, remember him as a loving son whose laughter and warmth filled their hearts with pride.
Ryan's life was also filled with the companionship of friends and the loyal affection of Barney, his beloved cat, who was his constant companion during quiet evenings. His presence will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
As his family reminds us, "Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day...unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear." Ryan Curtis Jezequel will forever remain in our hearts, a gentle soul whose love and light will continue to guide us through the days ahead.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Ryan's name, as a tribute to his generous spirit and enduring legacy of love.
